The purpose of the Business Administration Department and its programs at South Plains College is to prepare the student for transfer to a university for completion of the bachelor's degree.  This objective is met by providing the basic curriculum that is the foundation for higher level business courses.

The classroom setting at SPC encourages the open exchange of ideas necessary to develop these important reasoning skills. Additionally, state-of-the-art computer labs provide you with an opportunity to use microcomputers for business applications and study.

Classes at SPC are small, averaging around 25 students, so you can be sure of receiving individual attention.

Corporate executives, certified public accountants, loan officers, financial planners and marketing consultants all have one thing in common. They possess a strong background in business administration. It has been estimated that three out of every four people in the United States work in a business-related field. The managerial, organizational and leadership skills that you acquire in your business administration studies will serve you well in any facet of life.

Scholarships are available for students enrolling in many of our majors. 

To apply, students must submit a scholarship application by the March 1 deadline.

Applicants must indicate their intended major area of study on the scholarship application in order to be considered for these scholarships.

Some programs require applicants to submit ACT or SAT scores with the application as required for college-wide scholarships.

Applications are screened by a departmental scholarship committee.

All scholarship awards are subject to availability of funds.
