This class introduces you to the writing of fiction, poetry, and other genres. You will study published works in various media, try your hand at writing in an array of forms and genres, share your work with others, and receive feedback that helps you improve your craft. By the end of the semester, you will have a portfolio of work to build on in other courses or on your own.
ENGL 2311: TECHNICAL WRITING
(Prerequisites: ENGL 1301 and ENGL 1302)
Note: At Texas Tech, B.S. students may use ENGL 2311 for English Lit. and Lang./Phil./Culture

Learn how to create the documents necessary to make decisions and take action on the job, such as proposals, reports, instructions, policies and procedures, e-mail messages, letters, and descriptions of products and services. Practice individual and collaborative processes involved in the creation of ethical and efficient documents.
