Where are you headed?

pathsThe question asked most often to a young person is, “what do you want to do with your life?” The answer is almost always the same, “I don’t know yet.”  Very seldom is a student’s path set after high school because they are simply not aware of the possibilities.

Those possibilities are especially overlooked when students do not realize the widespread career opportunities available in Agriculture.  When a high school student from outside of a farming family hears “Agriculture”, they often discount themselves as a potential candidate for a career in this field.  Even students from within our industry are not sure where they fit in. Students who excel in math, science, and chemistry are needed in Agriculture.  Nontraditional students are needed in Agriculture as well as the student who considers themselves a natural fit.

Our goal is to expose the vast opportunities that are available in Agriculture to recruit a diverse new generation of agriculturalists who will lead the way into the future.
